Sandy Purdy, DVG Judge
I was introduced to Ken White in the 1980's and since then have had the privilege of judging him on several occasions. I have also judged many of the people he has coached/trained and from a judge's point of view, his instruction has produced knowledgeable , competent handlers whose performances are very enjoyable to watch. In the past few years, I have had the privilege of training with Ken, and have found him to be extremely knowledgeable, his techniques uncompromisingly fair and his communications with dogs remarkably honest. Ken is a very low-key person, and his training is understated, fair, honest and the end results would please anyone.

TriState Schutzhund Club has been very successful in titling dogs under training direction of Ken White at Canine Workshop. Members have put over 70 titles on various breeds of working dogs, ranging from Giant Schnauzers to German Shepherds. Several members have successfully competed at National level competition. Ken has worked with a range of dogs with varying aptitude for the sport and all have gone on to achieve titles. He truly maximizes the performance of the dog in all three phases. He uses his ability and experience to train dogs to compete at the highest levels. He trains dogs to compete not only under ideal conditions, but they learn to work in any type of conditions. We would fully endorse Ken as a trainer for dog sports.

The Memphis Schutzhund Club has been training with Ken White for more then eight years. Our experience runs from National Champion to beginners with their first dogs. Most of us fall into the second category. Anyone who has attempted basic obedience knows how difficult it can be. To balance the obedience with drive and enthusiasm in the dog and handler team is an art. Ken approaches each team uniquely and with patience, tact and clarity he incrementally teaches the handler what to look for and how to work with their dog. It is obvious that Ken enjoys his work and he is interested in our succeeding, not only in achieving titles, but in learning and growing as we train. By training with him on a regular basis we are afforded the additional benefit of his knowing what we have been working on, the temperment of our dogs and our own strengths and weaknesses in training. This provides us with instruction tailored for each of us. We have greatly enjoyed working with Ken and count our club fortunate to have him as our friend and trainer.
